Appearance

The Yyprek Mines are part of a cavern filled with glowing, crystalline stalagmites. Despite the light emanating from these jewels, the mines are still quite dark.

Summary

After the failed audience with King Leod and hearing from a Kendarie Warrior that the Kendarie Runestone was stolen, Princess Katia travels to the Yyprek Mines to find it.

Katia finds a lone, frightened guard who offers to accompany her through the mines. This guard turns out to be the only surviving member of the Royal Guard who went to investigate the Runestone thief's hideout. All the other members were killed by the thief, who is a Puppet Master working for the Enchanter.

Red Fairies

The Yyprek Mines has 5 Red Fairies. The first is hidden in a minecart at the entrance of the level, the second is on top of the ledge before the scared Kendarie Warrior, the third is near where the scared Kendarie Warrior first stops, the fourth is between the entrance of the last dead end and the stairs leading to the area with the Deck Point, and the fifth is hidden in a pile of planks in the last dead end.

  • Early footage of Lost Kingdoms from IGN reveals that both Orcs and Cockatrices were once regular enemies in the Yyprek Mines.
