  • By opening a chest in the Yyprek Mines. Found at the end of the 2nd dead end.
  • By opening a chest in the Yyprek Mines. Found in the middle of a row of 3 chests near the Deck Point.
  • By opening a chest in the Yyprek Mines. Found in the last reachable chest in a row of 3 near the Deck Point.
  • By opening a chest in Hupon-Jen. Found in the middle of a row of 3 chests in the area with the totem pole switch.
  • By copying one using 1000 EXP

Caterpokers can be found as enemies in Fossil Boneyard and in Level 9 of the Proving Grounds.

  • By upgrading a Venus Spider card with 3000 EXP
  • By capturing one in Fossil Boneyard
  • By opening a chest in Fossil Boneyard, but only in the US and PAL versions of Lost Kingdoms II. Found on the left side of a row of 2 chests next to a wall with a hole in it on the path to the right. This card was replaced with 100 Magic Stones in RUNE II, the Japanese version.
  • By finding a hidden card in Fossil Boneyard, but only in RUNE II. Found in a breakable rock by the 2nd Deck Point.
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Fossil Boneyard. 2 Caterpoker cards are available. This Level Bonus can only be accessed once.
  • By capturing one in Level 9 of the Proving Grounds
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Level 9 of the Proving Grounds, but only in RUNE II. 1 Caterpoker card is available. This Level Bonus can be accessed whenever the level is cleared with at least 1 rating star.
  • By importing cards from a Lost Kingdoms save file after clearing Sacred Battle Arena 2. The option to do this can only be taken once.
  • By copying one using 10000 EXP

  • The Caterpoker was changed to an Earth attribute in RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II. Its change in type makes Fossil Boneyard a level with only Earth attribute creatures if you don't count the Stranger present.
