  • By transforming a Caterpoker card with 1000 EXP
  • By capturing one on the Bridge of Sarvan
  • By opening a chest on the Bridge of Sarvan. Found on the right side of the level by the first statue.
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for the Bridge of Sarvan. Two Gold Butterfly cards are available.
  • By opening a chest at Lumsted. Found under a small roof on the side of a building by a road.
  • By collecting a hidden card at Bernden Field. Found on the left side of the entrance to the area with a hidden monument, under an ancient fallen warrior right beside another.
  • By copying one using 700 EXP

Trivia

  • An screenshots of an earlier build of Lost Kingdoms show that Gold Butterflies were once enemies at the Plains of Rowahl.
  • The the ghostly hands summoned by the Gold Butterfly's Enemy Slowdown ability use a Stone Head texture map that isn't used for the Stone Head itself. This texture map is smaller in size than the one used for the Stone Head, and it shows the Stone Head with teeth in its mouth and a glowing red eye in its socket.

  • By purchasing one at a Card Shop for 180G. Available in the Cathedral Card Shop inventory.
  • By upgrading a Yowie card with 5000 EXP
  • By capturing one at Sarvan
  • By opening a chest at Sarvan. Found on the right side of the bridge just before the bridge puzzle.
  • By importing cards from a Lost Kingdoms save file after clearing Sacred Battle Arena 2. The option to do this can only taken once.
  • By copying one using 8000 EXP

?The Gold Butterfly can also be used in two combos: Tech Support! and Time Out!. Tech Support! uses one Gold Butterfly card and one Acid Cloud card, and costs 6 Magic Stones. Time Out! uses one Gold Butterfly card and one Running Bird card, and costs 21 Magic Stones.

  • Despite the Gold Butterfly's attribute being changed from Earth to Wood in all versions of Lost Kingdoms II, it's enemy form at Sarvan remains an Earth attribute creature in the US version.
