"Beast Forest"]) is one of the last four optional levels in Lost Kingdoms, and is found within the Kingdom of Grayl. It also happens to be the home of the mythical White Tiger, who serves as the area's boss.

Hupon-Jen is accessed from Ruh-Arok Temple via the Wood Door.

Appearance

Hupon-Jen is a dark, hazy forest obscured by a pale green mist. What trees are visible here have black bark and lack leaves, and the ground is covered in moss and long, twisted roots. Fireflies can be found here hovering around a stone tablet on the shores of a lake hidden deep within this forest. Giant mushrooms sprout along the edges of paths and clearings, and the bones of those who wandered here litter the forest floor.

Summary

Upon gathering enough Wood attribute cards, Princess Katia opened the Wood Door of Ruh-Arok Temple, which took her to Hupon-Jen, the home of the White Tiger and Lord of all Wood creatures. Here she began to traverse the forest maze and found a tablet by a lake that described the third part of a story on the origins of the world.

So that the two imprisoned gods should never meet again, the third god split the land into two halves. Onto each continent, the third god placed one of the imprisoned gods. The god sealed the prisons of the other two gods with five Runestones of Power."
– A lore tablet, Hupon-Jen
Going deeper into Hupon-Jen, Katia discovers a strange stone pillar. She reached out to touch it, but jumped back startled as it started shaking, and then it sank into the ground. As it did this, all the gates in the forest opened. After going past a large stone gate that wouldn't open before, she found the den of the White Tiger. She battled with the tiger and won, and in the process acquired the White Tiger's help in the form of a card.

Layout

The level has a fairly on-rails layout. There isn't much room for exploration until Katia finds a mysterious stone pillar. Once activated, all the doors in the level open up. No more monsters are encountered after this until the White Tiger is fought.
