In-Game Story

Alanjeh Castle

During the events of the second game, Tara will encounter Rashiannu at Alanjeh Castle for the first time since their separation in youth. At the castle, Tara will be disregarded and treated poorly by Rashiannu. She will be quickly dismissed by the Queen as her only priority is getting ahold of the true Runestone Tara carries. After their brief conversation, Rashiannu will take the Runestone from Tara and imprison her along with her companion Sol.

Hand over the Runestone, if you please." "Without that Runestone, I can't use our most powerful cards. Not with these cheap Kendarie replicas. I am the Queen! I need that Runestone to protect my people. I'm sure you understand, my dearest sister. It is I who will defeat the Kendarie rebels. I hope you won't mind being our guest for a while. Welcome back to Alanjeh."
– Rashiannu, Alanjeh Castle
Rashiannu will later attempt to defeat the Body of the God with the Runestone stolen from Tara, but will fail—dropping the Runestone to the courtyard of the castle during the process. Tara, along with Sol, will escape the castle during this—easily allowing Tara to pick up the Runestone Rashiannu dropped during her battle.

Grenfoel Cathedral

Later in the game, Tara will enter the Grenfoel Cathedral. Tara will find Rashiannu in the library area looking through a bookshelf. When speaking to Rashiannu here, it is noticeably clear that she her attitude has changed. Rashiannu will seem much more remorseful and warm towards Tara, which is completely different compared to her attitude in Alanjeh Castle.

Later in the library, Rashiannu will apologize to Tara and confess that she was upset at Tara for being the one their mother chose to give the Runestone to during their separation long ago. Rashiannu will also share that she became Queen at a very young age.

I was just a little girl..."
– Rashiannu
In the Lost Kingdoms II game manual, it is specified that she became queen at age 10.

Ending

During the regular/ bad ending of Lost Kingdoms II, a unique cutscene will occur with Rashiannu present. During the cutscene, Tara will be leaning against a wall near the window while having a brief conversation with her past/ younger self. Afterward, Rashiannu will enter into the room and tell Tara to go along with her and greet the people of the kingdom as they are waiting for her.{| class="quote" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="border:1px solid white; background:#f8e9ae; tcolor:black; -moz-border-radius:7px; padding:0; margin:.5em 1em .5em 1em; width:auto" |style=color:#000; text-align:left;padding:0 10px;"| "Come along, the whole kingdom is waiting for a glimpse of their savior."
– Rashiannu
Tara will agree to Rashiannu's offer and will leave the room with her sister holding hands while waving goodbye to her past self.

Rashiannu does not appear in the "good" ending of the game.

Trivia

  • Rashiannu's outfit has some subtle differences to Queen Katia's; for instance, Rashiannu sports a necklace and a cape clasp with a red jewel inset, while Katia only has a simple clasp. Rashiannu's crown also has a red jewel in the center that is not seen on Katia's crown.
  • In the RUNE 2 Official Perfect Guide, Rashiannu's full name is revealed to be Lucienne Gerber, implying that the Gerber surname has been carried down since King Feobane's time.
