Hobgoblins can be found as enemies at the Plains of Rowahl.

Appearance

Hobgoblins are red humanoid creatures wearing peasant clothing. They also carry a small club which they use to attack, along with a poison gas. They usually appear in small groups but generally pose little threat.Hobgoblin and Goblin Lord are palette swaps.

  • By capturing a Hobgoblin at the Plains of Rowahl
  • By opening a chest in the Plains of Rowahl. Found at the end of a dead end.
  • By choosing the card in the Level Bonus for the Plains of Rowahl. 3 Hobgoblin cards are available.
  • By opening a chest in Blessoon. Found outside the walls of 3 destroyed buildings near the red capstan.
  • By transforming an Orc card with 1000 EXP
  • By opening a chest in Dahl-Nok Valley. Found in the 2nd chest to the left of Grelak the Border Guard.
  • By capturing a Hobgoblin during the battle with Helena at the Castle Grayl
  • By opening a chest at Rohbach. Found in the chest on the left side of a row of 3 chests under a small ledge by the frozen lake.
  • By opening a chest at Rohbach. Found in the middle of a row of 3 chests under a small ledge by the frozen lake.
  • By opening a chest at Rohbach. Found in the chest on the right side of a row of 3 chests under a small ledge by the frozen lake.
  • By purchasing at the Apothecary Shop 1 or 11 for 8G
  • By copying a Hobgoblin card using 700 EXP

Hobgoblins can be found as enemies in Level 3 of the Proving Grounds.

Obtainability

  • The starting deck contains 3 Hobgoblin cards
  • By purchasing from a Card Shop for 30G. Available in Shop 1 of the Kadishu Card Shop and the postgame inventories of both Card Shops.
  • By capturing a Hobgoblin during the battle with the Stranger in Gromtull Desert
  • By opening a chest at Sarvan. Found in the center of the bridge puzzle. Taking this card will deactivate the switch to the cage surrounding the Lucky Lion card, making it impossible to both lower the cage around it and collect the Lucky Lion card through normal gameplay. If the Lucky Lion card is collected instead, a gate that cannot be lowered will surround the chest of the Hobgoblin card.
  • By capturing a Hobgoblin in Level 3 of the Proving Grounds
  • By choosing the card in the Level Bonus for Level 3 of the Proving Grounds. Only 1 Hobgoblin card is available. This Level Bonus can be accessed whenever the level is cleared with at least 1 rating star.
  • By importing cards from a Lost Kingdoms save file after clearing Sacred Battle Arena 2. The option to do this can only be taken once.
  • By copying a Hobgoblin card using 3000 EXP
