Blessoon (Japanese: ブレッソン, Bresson) is a location in Lost Kingdoms found in the Kingdom of Alanjeh. It is the third main level in the game.
Alexander is first found here.
Appearance
Blessoon has an eerie atmosphere with low-saturation and a gray-brown color scheme. It features dead trees along with broken buildings and a bare dirt ground.
Summary
During the early events of the first game, Katia headed towards the town of Blessoon in hopes of finding her father. Blessoon was once a town that thrived and was full of people and buildings, but the destruction the monsters had caused to the town were devastating. Buildings had been destroyed to the point where only the bare foundation of the structure remained. When Katia visited the town, the local inhabitants were gone, possibly having fled or died.
Area Progression
Capstans
Blessoon has 4 capstans which need to be activated to unlock the northern gate and continue towards the rest of the level. The capstans are color-coded. Katia will need to turn the blue, yellow, green, and red capstan in order to open the northern gate and progress onward.
Fountain (optional)
Blessoon has a fountain located in the center in the first area before entering through the northern gate. The fountain controller must be turned with a specific combination in order to drain the fountain and enter it. A table with a book can be found near the western part of the area. Katia can read the book and it will state the combination needed to drain the fountain.
– Book on table, Blessoon
Blocked Off Area (optional)
There is an optional area in Blessoon that can be seen when near the green capstan, but rubble in the road prevents Katia from entering. This area can be entered elsewhere by going left of the sign before the bridge near the Deck Point. A line of breakable barrels blocks the path, so triggering an enemy encounter and hitting the barrels with the attack of either a card or an enemy monster will allow Katia to reach it.
Rare monsters known as Fire Gargoyles can be found as enemies in the optional area. One location they can be encountered is close to the entrance of this area and in a place with two large trees and several smaller ones, and another is close to the end of it by the sign that reads:
– A sign, Blessoon

Trivia
- The road leading past the optional area is programmed as a level exit. It is inaccessible during normal gameplay because of the collapsed gate blocking the way.
- The exit near the Fire Golem also functions the same way as the exit mentioned above. Because of the scripted encounter with the Fire Golem, it can't be reached through normal gameplay, either.
- The sign by the fountain has a message written by the town's Water Management Board in the NTSC version of Lost Kingdoms. However, in RUNE, the Japanese version, the message was made by only one person; a Water Manager named Joseph.
- In Lost Kingdoms II, another man by the name of Joseph held the key to the fountain of Holzogh Town. This implies that the two are related, but whether they are or not is unknown.
