Overview
The Band of the Scorpion (Japanese: 蝶の目, Chō no Me [lit. "Eyes of the Butterfly"]) is a group consisting of thieves lead by Victor in Lost Kingdoms II. According to the instruction manual, they owe their success to the Lupian Butterflies they breed, providing enemy tracking and location without giving away their own. Tara Grimface played a significant role in the success of the Band of the Scorpion since her Runestone made it easy to steal what was needed to be stolen. Sol is also a notable member of the Band of the Scorpion. He is Tara's close friend throughout the events of Lost Kingdoms II.

Glitches
- While the Band of the Scorpion is in the Upper Chambers of the Runestone Caverns, talking to Victor and any of the Fellow Bandits when Tara has taken the form of a monster (either from using any Transform type card by itself, or by using the Stone Cold Sniper combo) will trigger unique responses, and the two bandits closest to the gate will visibly panic when spoken to. The bandit by the Kendarie Runestones is also supposed to visibly panic while Tara talks to him as a monster in the US version, but due to a glitch, this will cause his animations to stop completely instead. This error was fixed in RUNE II.
Trivia
- The Band of the Scorpion is called "Eyes of the Butterfly" in Japanese, lending to their use of Lupian Butterflies in their activities. This is also reflected in the band's symbol.
- The Band of the Scorpion and their leader, Victor, make an appearance in one of the Lost Kingdoms II loading screens featuring Tara and Sol. Another loading screen featuring only Tara and Sol has the symbol of the band in the lower right corner.
- In RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II, there is an exclusive Music Cards called Eyes of the Butterfly, Beyond the Fortress that plays the theme of Kendarie Fortress. The art of this card features Victor and the Band of the Scorpion.
