The RUNE II webcomics were a series of 3 comics released on Fromsoftware's website in May of 2003. All three comics are illustrated by Takashi Kojo, designer of Lost Kingdoms and Lost Kingdoms II, and depict the characters of Lost Kingdoms II through various situations.
Following a revamp of Fromsoftware's website and its archived game sites, the comics were removed circa 2010. Most of the web pages are available through the Internet Archive Wayback Machine, but many of the comic images themselves were not archived. With great thanks to GraySilene, the 3 official RUNE II webcomics have been preserved in full. The comics have been unofficially translated by Taptroupe, while feedback was given by Realwinterbro, UnluckyLion and Xenolark among others.

Summary
The first comic was released on the site on May 2nd, 2003. It features Tara Grimface, Sol, and the Band of the Scorpion.
The comic takes place just before the Band of the Scorpion break into the Nobleman’s Residence. The band watches Sol struggle in a battle with a crowd of monsters until Tara decides to step in, Birdman card in hand.

Summary
The second comic was released on the site on May 16th, 2003. This comic features Jarvi at his Fairy House as he continues his research, while Red and Blue Fairies hover around him.
As Jarvi decides to trek to Gromtull Desert to search for more fairies, he reads through research notes left behind by his ancestor, Alexander. The notes detail the hiding spots of Red Fairies around Bhashea and Kendaria, characteristics about Blue Fairies, and a rather non-scientific note about his ancestor's friend, Katia. As Jarvi is lost in old research notes, he finds himself in a place that is certainly not Gromtull Desert...

Summary
The third and final comic was released on the site on May 30th, 2003. This comic features King Leod VIII, among his many subordinates.
A royal meeting takes place in Kendarie Castle at the same time that the Band of the Scorpion infiltrate Kendarie Fortress. A minister of Kendaria reports some difficult statistics about the kingdom's finances as King Leod VIII sits upon his throne. The source of many of Kendaria's Runestones is also revealed - powered by both prisoners and unsavory royals.
