Appearance
The Great Turtle is a giant brown tortoise with a long black beard on his chin and a curved horn on his forehead. He has a small active volcano as a shell which is decorated with 3 bands of white markings. Stalagmite-like formations grow on the shell between the first and second bands.Obtainability
Strategies
The Great Turtle's Lava Storm attack makes molten boulders violently erupt out of his volcano shell. These boulders are launched into the sky, and after a short period will rain down to the ground. Being a tortoise, he has little mobility, but he does turn slightly to aim attacks. As a Card
Whilst the Great Turtle has respectable Defense and HP for an Independent type, his attack has pitiful range. This gives the monster extreme durability, but he is only really good at close-range combat rather then long. This could still be handy for immobile foes, however, such as a Crystal Rose.As a Monster
The Great Turtle as an enemy isn't as dangerous as the White Tiger. He only has one offensive skill and stays anchored to one spot, only moving slightly turning to aim after each attack. However, when accompanied with other monsters, he becomes more of a threat. When dodging other monsters, it is easy to lose track of where his attack will fall, making it more likely to for him to strike his target. In the boss battle for the Temple of Amentankh, the Great Turtle is fought with 2 Sphinx. The Sphinx have better range and mobility, so they should be defeated first. Using Fenril cards will be very effective against both the Great Turtle and the 2 Sphinx, as the Fenril's attack will cause massive damage to all Earth attribute opponents on the battlefield.Profile Descriptions

The Big Save combo uses one of each of the Sacred Beast cards, and requires 24 Magic Stones. This combo acts as a Summons type card. It restores the player's Hit Points, the lifespan of Independent and Helper cards in use, and the uses of Weapon cards. Additionally, some used up cards will be sent from across the screen go back to the player, hitting any enemies in the way. Afterwards, these cards will be restored and be added back to the deck.As a Monster

Using Devata cards can help Tara sneak past some of the rooms the Great Turtle and the other Sacred Beasts are in, but she will eventually be locked in a room where she has to face them all at once. When dealing with the room where Tara must defeat all 4 Sacred Beasts, it might be best to use a Berserk Master card, as the Berserk Master will cause all monsters to become hostile to each other. Since the Great Turtle and all other the Sacred Beasts are powerful foes, they will most likely cause massive damage to each other when in affected by his ability. Using Devata cards will also work well with this strategy, as while the Berserk Master is active, the stealthiness of the Devata card can be used to avoid being harmed by the Berserk Master and the Sacred Beasts, and it also makes it easier to collect the Magic Stones that are dropped from the enemy monsters as they take damage. However, the Berserk Master strategy does have a few drawbacks. The Berserk Master does not distinguish between friend and foe, and if any other Independent or Helper type cards are active, they won't, either. Additionally, in RUNE II, the Japanese version of Lost Kingdoms II, this strategy is not as effective as it is in the US and PAL versions. The Berserk Master card stats were altered, so he has less defense and a shorter lifespan, which shortens the time his ability, now a Unique Skill, can be active. He was also changed to a Helper type, so the Z-Effect cannot increase his attack power in RUNE II.Profile Descriptions
