Strategies
The Berserk Master is a powerful card and a fearsome opponent that can move at a brisk pace. He will attack anyone or anything he comes across, whether they are friend or foe. He also has an ability that can effect all monsters, causing them all to become hostile to each other.
As a Card
The Berserk Master card is incredibly useful in the lower levels of the Proving Grounds due to his ability to cause monsters to attack each other. However, it can be risky to use one, as the Berserk Master will be hostile to Tara and other active friendly creatures if he sees them, and his ability effects both enemies and friendly monsters. Using other Independent or Helper cards while he is present is not advised.
By using a Berserk Master card in the lower levels of the Proving Grounds, the powerful enemies there will fight each other. Using Devata cards while he is active is recommended, as taking the form of a Devata will allow Tara to sneak away from both him and the enemy monsters, and it will give her the chance to collect Magic Stones unharmed.
In RUNE II, the Berserk Master's card form is not as effective as it is in the US and PAL versions. His type was changed to Helper in this version, so his attack power cannot not be boosted when the Z-Effect is used on his card. Additionally, his Hit Points and Lifespan were decreased, which shortens the time he can stay active.
