The Elf (Japanese: エルフ, Elf) is a Wood attribute creature and an Independent type card introduced in Lost Kingdoms II.
Elves can be found as enemies in Ruldo Forest.
Appearance
Dark Elf and Elf are palette swaps.
Obtainability
- By capturing an Elf in Ruldo Forest
- By choosing the card in the Level Bonus for Ruldo Forest. 2 Elf cards are available. This Level Bonus can be accessed twice.
- By opening a chest in Ruldo Forest, but only in the US and PAL versions of Lost Kingdoms II. Found in the chest on the top of the high ledge close to the Stranger. The chest can be reached by using a jumping Transform type card powered up with an activated Magic Booster. This card was replaced with the Riz and Gurd card in RUNE II.
- By collecting a hidden card under the fallen tree closest to the entrance of Ruldo Forest, but only in RUNE II, the Japanese version. The card can be collected once the tree is destroyed by using a Power Transformer card, such as a Stone Golem, powered up with an activated Magic Booster.
- By capturing one in the battle with the Stranger in the Nobleman's Residence after Tara has obtained the Strange Key from Gurd at Sacred Battle Arena 1.
- By receiving the card as a reward for defeating 7 to 8 Mech creatures in the RUNE II exclusive optional mission in Holzogh Town. This optional mission is available after the level has been cleared and it can be repeated every time the level is revisited.
- By copying an Elf card using 8000 EXP
Strategies
The Elf is an agile monster that prefers to keep a distance from opponents. She uses a bow to shoot at her enemies from far away.
The Elf's Bow Attack skill shoots straight ahead and hits far while her Leap and Fire skill causes her to jump up and shoot in mid air. The arrows from the latter skill are shot at a downward angle, so its range is shorter than the range of the Bow Attack.
The Elf will stand still and watch any opponent that is close enough for her to spot, but she will go back to patrolling if the enemy turns back. She will begin to attack if the enemy continues to approach once noticed, but she will run away if the enemy manages to get close enough to use melee attacks.
As a Card
?
An Elf card can also be used in the Green Guardian combo along with a Dark Elf and an Elf Lord. The combo itself functions as an Independent type, so if any of the elves used in this combo are killed, the others will die as well. All three elves fight together, but will stop attacking for a few seconds every now and then to heal the player and any Independent or Helper type card active other than the ones used for the combo.

Profile Descriptions
Card Profile
"An Independent creature that specializes in long distance attacks.
It is agile and hard to hit, which is good because it has a low tolerance for damage.
Most effective in wide open spaces."

If approached, elves will retreat to a safe distance and strike back with their bows.
They compensate for a lack of hardiness with their speed."
