{{Card_Template}}The Steel Skeleton (Japanese: メタルスケレトン, Metal Skeleton) is a Neutral attribute monster and an Independent type card introduced in Lost Kingdoms. It is a member of the Skeleton family and is one of the stronger Independent monsters in the game.

Steel Skeletons can be found as enemies rarely at Mt. Jarndunn and commonly in Ruh-Arok Temple. Additionally, two Steel Skeletons fight alongside the Black Dragon during the boss battle for the latter level.

Appearance

The Steel Skeleton looks just like the regular Skeleton but with a metallic gray color palette. It is also taller then Katia herself.Demon Skeleton, Skeleton, and Steel Skeleton are palette swaps.

Obtainability

  • By transforming a Skeleton card with 5000 EXP
  • By transforming a Goblin Lord card with 1400 EXP
  • By transforming a Vampire card with 1000 EXP
  • By capturing one in a rare encounter at Mt. Jarndunn
  • By capturing one in Ruh-Arok Temple
  • By opening a chest in Ruh-Arok Temple. Found between the entrance of the room to the right of the 1st room and the 1st gate.
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Ruh-Arok Temple. Up to 3 Steel Skeleton cards are available.
  • By bringing at least 90 Red Fairies to the Fairy House.
  • By opening a chest in Broch Black. Found in the chest to the right at back of the left chamber close to the Dragon's Mouth.
  • By capturing one during the battle with Thalnos the Enchanter in Broch Black
  • By copying one using 4000 EXP

Strategies

Whilst the original Skeleton was a reliable, easy-to-use card, the Steel Skeleton is actually really dependable.It's attacks lack range, but the Skeleton makes up for this by being very fast once it spots a target.In addition, its attacks have a chance of causing Petrifaction, gaining life from enemies upon hitting them or even Instant Death.

The Steel Skeleton, useful as it is, is one of the more fearsome regular enemies. Instant Death is a very rare status to carry and the king of the skeleton race carries the potential. It also has the power to occasionally Petrify enemies. Both of these prevent summoning allies so Katia must be quick to dispatch this foe.

  • The Steel Skeleton card in the original Lost Kingdoms game is one of two cards used in the only combo utilized by an enemy Runestone Master in the series. This combo is used by Thalnos the Enchanter, while the other card in the combo is the Necromancer.

One Steel Skeleton can be found as an enemy in Bhashea Castle until it has been defeated. Other Steel Skeletons can be found as enemies in Level 20 of the Proving Grounds.

  • By upgrading a Demon Skeleton card with 25000 EXP in the US and PAL versions of Lost Kingdoms II, or 20000 EXP in RUNE II, the Japanese version.
  • By capturing the one at Bhashea Castle. It will not return once it has been defeated.
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Bhashea Castle. Only 1 Steel Skeleton card available. This Level Bonus can only be accessed once.
  • By capturing one in the battle with Thalnos the Enchanter in Sacred Battle Arena 2
  • By capturing one in the battle with Queen Katia in Sacred Battle Arena 2, but only in RUNE II
  • By capturing one at Level 20 of the Proving Grounds
  • By choosing one in the Level Bonus for Level 20 of the Proving Grounds. Only 1 Steel Skeleton card is available. This Level Bonus can be accessed whenever the level is cleared with at least 1 rating star.
  • By importing Steel Skeleton cards from a Lost Kingdoms save file after clearing Sacred Battle Arena 2. The option to do this can only be taken once.
  • By copying one using 30000 EXP
