Trivia
- Barometz is a reference to the Vegetable Lamb of Tartary (Latin: Planta Tartarica Barometz) of Central Asian folklore. This mythical creature was believed to grow sheep as fruit. The fern species Cibotium Barometz is the likely culprit for the myth's origin, as the rhizome of the plant, when cleaned of its leaves and stood upside down, can appear to be a golden sheep.
